How to play
Goal: Fill the 5×5 press with the letter blocks from the tray so that every
row and column reads as a word. When the last cell is set, the press slams down and prints your page.
Drag blocks onto the board.Letters in a block are bound together — a domino, tromino,
L-block or 2×2 quad always moves as one piece. On a phone, press and hold a block to pick it up
(a quick swipe scrolls the page). Drop it on empty cells.
Tap a block to rotate it.It turns 90° clockwise and the letters turn with it, so TH
becomes T-over-H, then HT. Rotating is always free, in the tray or on the board.
Every line must be a word.The dark iron spacers split rows and columns — letters on
either side of one are separate words. Once a block completes a line, that line is checked: if it
isn't a word, the block bounces back to the tray with a thud.
Move things around freely.Placed blocks can be dragged to a new spot (one move) or
back to the tray (free). Undo rewinds your last move.
Stuck? Use ink.You start with one drop of ink, and another refills as you play — faster on
easy boards — up to a stock of three. Tap Ink, then any empty cell, and the letter that belongs there
is stamped in gold. The stamp stays until you cover it, and only the right letter fits on it. Each drop
costs 10 points, and a page printed with ink tops out at 🥈.
Or hand it in.Submit the page as it stands: the solution is revealed, the letters you set
in the right place are scored, and you get a proof 📄 instead of a medal. It still counts for your streak.
The clock.It starts on your first move and pauses whenever you leave the page. Moving blocks
around is free — only bounces, ink and time cost points.
Score & ink medals.Every letter you set is worth 10 points, plus a speed bonus of up
to 60 that drains over the board's time budget — 2 minutes per star, so a 3★ board gives you 6 minutes.
Each bounce and each ink drop costs 10. Your medal comes from the total:
85% of the maximum earns 🥇, 65% earns 🥈, and any finish is 🥉.
Difficulty cycles.The ★ stars in the header rate the board from 1 to 5 —
bigger, more rigid blocks and longer words as they climb — then the cycle starts again at 1★.
